I have, on occasion, been asked to undertake magical action for people. I occasionally agree. I was very reticent about getting involved in this whole area on a professional basis, because it has, if one can imagine it, an even worse reputation than the Tarot. It is far too easy for someone to take some money, light a candle or two, do some light chanting, and then claim they’ve done their best for a client, and if nothing happens it’s down to the client’s bad karma.

This kind of thing would badly contradict the philosophy of this site, as well as being morally obnoxious. However, magic is something I’ve studied for years, and I do have a reasonable level of skill in it. I have therefore, on occasion, agreed to work with a client to try to influence events, or to persuade the universe to move in a particular direction.

This is judged on a case by case basis, and is not a simple, or quick, thing.
If, and only if, I believe I'm able to help a client I may agree to get involved with a magic project. Payment will be judged on an individual basis, and will depend on the time I invest. Most of this time will be in the form of interview and counselling with the client – magic is not a casual or simple thing, and everyone has to be aware of what is involved. Likewise, if I come to feel the situation is wrong, or that I believe I can’t help, I will withdraw my services immediately.

Work I’ve done in the past has included psychically ‘cleaning’ a location (like a new home, or in order to push away an unpleasant atmosphere), trying to unravel some bad luck, helping with some healing meditations, and so on.
